Marvin C. Tinsley, RMP, Owner and President
After growing up in Ft. Worth, Texas and moving away, Marvin returned to Ft. Worth in 1983 with an extensive background in sales. In 1985, he decided to strike out on his own and open his own Property Management company. His primary goal was to give extraordinary service to all owners of rental property. Marvin is a member of The Greater Ft. Worth Association of Realtors, where he has served on the Board of Directors for two years. He is also a member of The National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM). Marvin is a past president of the Ft. Worth/Mid-Cities Chapter of NARPM. Marvin has also given lectures on Legislative Issues at the Texas State NARPM Convention. Marvin maintains memberships in The National and Texas Associations of Realtors, and The Texas Apartment Association as well.
Melissa Shearer, e-Pro, Owner and Vice-President
After graduating from Texas Tech University with a management degree, Melissa moved back to her hometown of Fort Worth to join the family business in 1991. Being around Specialized Property Management, Inc., since it’s inception in 1983 Melissa is well aware of the company’s core value of extraordinary service and strives to meet that goal daily. Melissa is a member of The Greater Ft. Worth Association of Realtors, and the National Association of Property Managers, where she has served on numerous committees. Melissa has been maintaining the day to day operations of the company since 2008, but still finds the time to sell homes.
Shelley Millay, Property Manager, Realtor
Shelley is originally from St. Louis (still a Cardinal fan), and she moved to Arlington Texas in 1978. Shortly after she purchased her first rental property resulting in her owning and managing personal property ever since. She heard about NARPM in 2002 and began to work with a Ft. Worth management company until she gained her real estate license in 2004. During her plans to move to Southern Texas she stopped by Specialized Property to get some career advice. They changed her plans pretty quickly by offering her a position, and asking her to stay. She is an active member of the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors and the National Association of Residential property managers. They have an amazing team full of experience here in Ft. Worth, and she is delighted that she is part of it.
Cindy Hoover, RMP, CMS Property Manager/Realtor
Cindy joined Specialized Property Management in October of 2008. With over 26 years of experience and has built her business and reputation on years of integrity, trust, honesty, and an abundance of property management knowledge. She received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Wesleyan University in Fort Worth, Texas, and her Real Estate License in 1983. She is an active member of the Greater Fort Worth Board of Realtors and a member of the Governmental Affairs Committee and Property Management Committee where she served as Property Management Chairman in 2008. Other organizations include the Texas Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, National Association of Residential Property Managers, Fort Worth-Mid Cities Chapter of National Association of Residential Property Managers, where she serve as the 2009 President, Women’s Council of Realtors and Certified Residential Specialist. She will be serving on the Texas Association of Realtors Property Management Committee and the Professional Standards Committee for 2010. She also achieved the designation of Residential Management Professional (RMP) from the National Association of Residential Property Management and was a graduate of the Texas Association of Realtors Leadership Class of 2008, and my Certified Mobility Specialist (CMS) designation in 2008.
Perry Alan, Leasing Agent, Property Manager, Realtor
As a Fort Worth native, Perry is a graduate of Arlington Heights High School. He served in the United States Air Force where he was decorated with two achievement medals. He served several tours in the Middle East, and earned Senior Airman Below the Zone. Perry left the military to pursue educational goals at The University of Texas. He graduated from The Red McCombs School of Business with a Bachelor in Business Administration in May of 2004. He worked his way through college working at The Home Depot, and was eager to develop his career and follow an Olympic dream in down hill skiing. Perry decided to transfer to Flagstaff, Arizona for high altitude training at Snowbowl. In 2007, Perry ended a career in big box retail to return to his home town. Perry joined Specialized Property Management in 2007 and has quickly become a key member of our team. “I looked at many Real Estate companies in Fort Worth and Specialized Property Management was a perfect fit for me. It is an established property management company that has the solid reputation, structured internal processes, and family run environment that I was looking for,” says Perry.
Stella Louck-Beech, Property Manager, Realtor
Some people may wonder, how a West Texas cowgirl with a background in court and law end up in property management? The answer is she moved to Fort Worth with her family to fulfill her dream and started a career change into real estate. She married a west side boy and has been with Specialized Property Management since 2003. Her portfolio now includes all of Tarrant County along with Parker County. She has been the Top Producer at SPM for 2007 and 2008. As well served on the GFWR Property Management Forum Committee as President in 2007. She actively participates in NARPM and currently serving as Vice-President of the local Chapter. She is hard at work to receive her RMP destination from the National Association Residential Property Managers.
Tony Sims, Property Manager
Tony is a family man with four sons Keny, Perry, Atticus, and Hunter. He is happily married to his wife Amy and they live with their two dogs Oscar and Maggie. He was a former mayor of Edgecliff village, and also a governmental lobbyist for the Cast Metals Federation from 1978-1984. He then worked as the Vice President for Stuart Enterprises until 1999 and has been working for Specialized Property Management ever since. He is a licensed agent since 1990, and gained his RMP in 2009. He is part of the National Association of Realtors, Texas Association of Realtors, and is on the Board of Directors for the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors. In the year 2010 he will be the President of Fort Worth/Mid Cities NARPM.
Amy Irene Sims, Assistant to Tony Sims, Realtor
Amy has a Master’s Degree in Exercise Science. Since 1988 she has taught at T.C.U.; Managed Corporate Health and Fitness for Bright Realty in Dallas, Managed Women’s Fitness Center City Club Fort Worth, and Epiphany, her personal training and consultant company. At SPM. she teaches Yoga and is the chaos management consultant for The Sims Team. Promoted to administrative assistant because of her literacy in the alphabet and sequencing numbers and willingness to assist Perry with systems and structural analysis and Tony with emergency management facilitation. Amy loves to cook, dig in the dirt, and balance on her head, although not at the same time.
Rachel Edwards, Property Manager, Realtor
Rachel has been with Specialized Property Management , Inc. since 2007. She joined our company with a strong background in sales and customer service. She began as an assistant for Marvin Tinsley, then went on to become a licensed Realtor in early 2008. Since then she has been using her skills to increase her own property management portfolio and has been selling homes as well. Rachel is a member of the Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors and the National Association of Residential Property Managers. When not working Rachel enjoys spending time with her two children.
Alicia Barron Trujillo, Leasing Agent, Realtor
After many years in the housing industry, Alicia joined Specialized Property Management in 2006 as a Property Manager Assistant. She then obtained her Real Estate License in 2007 and became a Leasing Agent. Since becoming a full-time Leasing Agent, she was honored to receive the 2008 Leasing Agent of the Year Award. Her many years of experience managing her own personal rental properties, as a Housing Counselor, MLS Coordinator, and Loan Officer has provided her with a solid background and depth of knowledge in the industry to better serve her clients. With more than 20 years of experience, she has built her business and earned the trust of her clients through dedication to providing excellent service. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has thorough knowledge in real estate and lending terminology in both languages. She is very motivated and hard working and prides herself on treating all her clients as if they were her very first.
Erin Landis, Accountant
Erin joined Specialized Property Management in 2003. She has lived in this area her whole life and has 10 years of experience in Finance and Accounting. She completed her education at the University of Texas at Arlington and has recently been working on her Masters of Business Administration in Accounting at the University of North Texas in Denton. She is a member in National Association of Residential Property Managers and Business and Professional Women. She and her husband Scott reside in Fort Worth with their two dogs and cat.
Wendy Mills, Office & Marketing Assistant
Wendy is a native of Fort Worth. After attending The University of Texas at Arlington, she worked for ‘Lectric Lites for many years before starting a family. Wendy joined the SPM team in 2008 where she has become a valuable asset to the company. When not working she loves spending time off with family and friends.
Kathy Fisher, Office Coordinator
Kathy started her working career over 40 years ago as a Secretary for a business forms company & from there she went to work for various companies including a wholesale carpet company, electrical contracting company, home building company, two investment firms, a CPA firm, & a life insurance company. She came to work for Specialized Property Management in 1997 when the Company had only about 200 properties, two leasing agents, the Bookkeeper, & herself. The Company now has over 900 properties, seven Property Managers, three Assistants, a Leasing Agent, and five Administrative personnel.
